During the class Julie Hancock will teach you various skills to cover and decorate a fruit cake. You will learn how to cover the cake with marzipan and sugarpaste and how to colour sugarpaste, cut and model sugarpaste, add detail with royal icing and lots more!
This class, to be hosted at Janice B’s Cake and Sugarcraft Centre in Hedge End, near Southampton, is suitable for all and will combine a detailed demonstration and a hands-on workshop, during which each participant will ice and decorate a traditional fruit cake for Christmas. You will be able to incorporate your own ideas and creative flair to the cake.
Throughout the class, Julie will share lots of tips and hints and will, of course, answer all your questions.
The cake, marzipan and sugarpaste, materials and all equipment are included in the cost of the class and will be provided for you. All you need to bring is an apron.
Light refreshments will be served during the class. Please feel free to bring snacks and a packed lunch.
